Terms and Conditions
FLEXIBILITY, CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Booking your preferred date and waiting list
All bookings are subject to the availability. Please book as far in advance as possible to increase the chances of being able to book your first choice. A waiting list is available if your preferred dates are not available.
Booking your preferred date will only be secured once payment has been received and funds cleared; please note that paying by cheque takes at least 4 days to clear.
Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received. Paid for spaces will be given priority.
Cancelling your booking, changing the date or changing the location
Once you have booked a session with Baking Buddies, if you need to re-schedule or cancel, we will always do our best to help. If you confirm your cancellation at least 14 days before the date booked, you will receive a full refund, minus a 15% of the invoiced amount administration charge.
We regret that we cannot offer any refund if you cancel less than 14 days in advance of the booked session(s). In some instances, we may be able to transfer your booking to another class, subject to availability, but this is not guaranteed.
Very rarely we may need to cancel your booking for reasons beyond our control, such as sudden illness, unavailability of venue or breakdown of transport or equipment. We will do our best to notify you as soon as possible and do our best to arrange an alternative date in the event that we must cancel. Should this not be possible, you will receive a full refund for the individual session(s) missed. Payments will also be returned if a class has to be cancelled due to minimum numbers not being achieved.
We don't issue refunds for missed sessions due to your own circumstances.
Changing the number of people attending a club or camp session and waiting lists.
On booking, we will ask how many people will be attending the club or camp session(s).
If you would like to add another person to your booking with Baking Buddies, you are responsible for checking the availability of our on our ClassForKids booking page and booking online if there is any availability. If there is no availability for your chosen session(s), it will be possible to be added to a waiting list.
Bookings will close 4 days in advance of the first after school club / camp session. This is so we can arrange for enough ingredients to be available at the venue at the time of the session(s). Booking closer to the date will incur a 10% surcharge to cover sourcing additional ingredients.
YOUR ORDER
By confirming your order you acknowledge that you have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions.
Before Baking Buddies prepares food with any attendee, a medical and dietary form has to be filled in online and made available to any Baking Buddies instructor present at the venue. It is you, the clients responsibility to provide accurate, complete and updated information as required to provide a save environment for anybody attending the Baking Buddies club and camp baking sessions. Baking Buddies does not accept any responsibility or makes any guarantees for clients failing to disclose any valid information.
While Baking Buddies makes every effort to prepare food to any attendee's personal tastes, Baking Buddies cannot be held responsible of any goods that are not to our attendee's liking and such goods cannot be returned, swapped for alternative dishes or costs refunded. At Baking Buddies we do our best to offer recipes that our clients will enjoy making and eating, however, we cannot be held responsible if the end product is not to your child's liking. Dishes cannot be returned or swapped for alternative dishes or costs refunded.
Baking Buddies cannot be held responsible if any ingredients are unavailable due to circumstances beyond Baking Buddies’s reasonable control. If an ingredient is unavailable Baking Buddies reserves the right to substitute to a comparable and suitable ingredient.
Baking Buddies instructors are not nutritionists, dieticians or medical doctors of any kind. They do not provide medical or nutrition advice. By entering into this agreement with Baking Buddies, you acknowledge and accept that Baking Buddies have advised you of these facts and if you have any medical, nutritional or dietary questions or needs, you are required to let us know, so we can make necessary adjustments. however, if you fail to let us know at time of booking we cannot be held responsible for ensuring your child's specific dietary requirements can be met.
EXCLUSIONS
Drinks (apart from tap water) and any other food apart from the selected recipes as part of the session are not included in any Baking Buddies service unless specified by Baking Buddies. Attendees are required to bring their own refreshments (including snacks and/or a packed lunch if required) to the sessions.
PAYMENT
All bookings must be fully paid for in advance. This is usually done via the online booking service provided by ClassForKids. You are required to create an account with ClassForKids who will provide all details necessary.
LIABILITY
Baking Buddies is an inclusive organisation. Wherever possible attendees will be welcomed to attend without additional adult support or supervision. However, if their needs are deemed unsafe for themselves or other attendees they will need to be accompanied by an adult (responsible person aged 18 years or over).
Baking Buddies or any of their staff are not responsible for any loss or injury during the class. Should a
Unless given direct instructions or permission attendees are not allowed to enter the kitchen without adult supervision at any point during the session(s). Attendees are under no circumstances allowed to handle the oven without adult supervision.
Baking Buddies reserve the right to remove from our programme, without refund, anyone who is found to be bullying, or displaying disruptive unsafe behaviour.
The attendees are expected to listen to all instructions given by the instructor and take all reasonable care at the venue in order to prevent accidents from occurring. Attendees must also wear suitable clothing and footwear (flat shoes with covered toes) for all baking lessons. We will not be responsible for any damage to or loss of attendees' clothing, footwear or any items belonging to the attendee. Baking Buddies reserve the right to refuse attendance of a session if the above conditions are not met.
For our attendees's safety, please inform us in advance of the first session if you have any dietary or medical requirements, an allergy to something, or if you think there is something else that the Baking Buddies instructor should be aware of, like specific learning needs.
Should any accident occur whilst in the care of Baking Buddies during the session (limited to the start and end times as stated on your booking) basic first aid will be administered. Should it be deemed necessary after assessment by a Baking Buddies staff member, a responsible adult will be required to pick up the attendee immediately. No refund will be issued.
Baking Buddies does not take any responsibility for personal injury or damage to any personal belongings should any accident or incident occur outside the timings of any Baking Buddies session as stated on your booking.
We hold public and product liability insurance for up to a value of £5 million.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES TO THE INSTRUCTOR
We will not tolerate any violent, threatening behaviour, physical aggression or verbal abuse to any of our staff or attendees by any attendee in any way. This includes anyone present at the venue or via any other means of communication. Should this occur the instructor will contact the responsible adult requiring the attendee to be collected immediately and no refund will be issued. Further proceedings may follow if deemed appropriate.
We will also not tolerate any violent, threatening behaviour, physical aggression or verbal abuse to any of our staff or attendees by any family members, carers or any other person connected to an attendee in any way. This includes anyone present at the venue or via any other means of communication. Should this occur, the responsible persons will be required to vacate the premises and the police may be called. Legal proceedings may be issued against you. No refund will be issued.
AGE RESTRICTIONS
Attendees must be 7 years of age or older to participate in a baking session. At the instructors discretion and on an individual basis, younger children may be allowed to join. It is your responsibility to contact Baking Buddies via email at bakingbuddiesfun@gmail.com to check this before booking. If bookings are made before a written confirmation is given to allow a child younger than 7 years of age to attend the Baking Buddies session, Baking Buddies will not be responsible for any loss of payments already made.
PHOTOGRAPHIC PERMISSIONS
You must declare if you do not want your child to be photographed for marketing use on social media sites and/or any marketing related to Baking Buddies, and keep us up-to-date should this change using the given email address (bakingbuddiesfun@gmail.com( or phone number (+44 7595677457).
WEATHER
We will endeavour to take the attendees outside during our breaks, however, in case of adverse weather conditions breaks will take place indoors.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of Baking Buddies for personal injury or death caused by its negligence.
By means of your order and/or registration to our mailing list, you are agreeing with these General Business Terms and Conditions. Baking Buddies reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time without notice.
Baking Buddies in its sole discretion, reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, with or without cause or reason. Baking Buddies reserves the right to add, delete or change fees or charges at any time upon notice as provided in this Contract.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.
